This home was built in March 2006 with taxes show paying much less for home as we paid for many upgrades and all appliances. We purchased wood flooring etc through our business plus paid cash for upgrades.  In detail we paid for: wood and tile floors, concrete patio, extra exterior door, jet tub instead of garden, extending rock to ceiling on fireplace, wood instead of carpet on stairs and upstairs, wrought iron railing, upgraded light fixtures, faucets, Granite top vessel sink vanity instead of pedestal. We paid for concrete over the gravel to the house. NOW I have invested in finishing the bottom level, adding sconce lights and faux tin ceiling in kitchen and dining. I have appealed taxes having them reduced. currently to $1,498 without homestead.  If you are 65 or older, property taxes are cut in half!
